Privacy policy

Last updated: September 2, 2026.

This policy explains what information is collected when you visit salsita.mx, why, and what you can do about it.

Who is responsible

This site is operated by the owner of salsita.mx. You can reach us at [email protected] or through the contact page.

What is collected

Salsita MX has no user accounts, asks for no personal information, and sends no newsletters. There are no sign-up forms, no logins, and nothing on this site requires you to give a name, email address or phone number.

The only data processed is:

Technical browsing data. IP address, browser type, operating system, pages visited and referring site. This is collected automatically by the web server and by the third-party services described below.

Anything you send us voluntarily. If you write to [email protected], your email address and the contents of your message arrive in that mailbox. They are used only to reply to you.

Data stored in your own browser. The ingredient search saves the ingredients you select in your browser’s local storage, so you do not have to select them again on your next visit. That list never leaves your device — it is not sent to any server and we never receive it. You can clear it with the “Clear” button in the tool, or by clearing site data in your browser.

Advertising: Google AdSense

This site is funded by advertising served through Google AdSense.

  • Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads on this site.
  • Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and other sites on the internet.
  • You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
  • Alternatively, you can opt out of third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalized advertising at www.aboutads.info/choices.

Third-party vendors and ad networks may use cookies or web beacons to collect information about your browsing in order to show more relevant ads. You can review Google’s privacy policy and how Google handles data on its partners’ sites at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

We have no access to or control over the cookies used by these third parties. We do not receive any information from Google that would let us identify you personally.

Cookies

The detail of which cookies are used, what for, and how to disable them is on the cookie policy page.

Salsita MX sets no tracking cookies of its own. Those that exist come from the third-party services described here.

If you are in California

California residents have specific rights under the CCPA and CPRA, including the right to know what personal information is collected, the right to have it deleted, and the right to opt out of its sale or sharing.

Salsita MX does not sell personal information and does not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising in exchange for anything of value. Advertising on this site is served by Google, and Google’s own controls linked above are the mechanism for opting out of personalized advertising.

To make a request about any information we do hold — realistically, email correspondence — write to [email protected].

If you are elsewhere

If you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or object to processing, by writing to the same address, and you may complain to your national supervisory authority.

If you are in Mexico, the relevant authority is the Instituto Nacional de Transparencia, Acceso a la Información y Protección de Datos Personales (INAI).

Because this site keeps no user database, in practice these rights apply mainly to email correspondence.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, write to us and we will delete it.

Some pages link to external sites. This policy does not cover them; once you leave salsita.mx, the destination’s own privacy policy applies.

Retention

Emails are kept as long as needed to handle the inquiry and for up to 24 months afterward, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.

Server logs are kept for short periods for security and diagnostics.

Changes

This policy may be updated. The date of the last change appears at the top, and substantial changes will be noted visibly on the site.
