Cookie policy

Last updated: September 2, 2026.

A cookie is a small file a website stores in your browser. It is used to remember things between visits: preferences, sessions, or — in the case of advertising — information about your browsing.

Alongside cookies there are other local storage technologies, such as localStorage, which work similarly but whose contents are never sent to any server.

What salsita.mx uses

NameWhat it storesDurationSent to a server
salsita:en-pantryThe ingredients you select in the ingredient searchUntil you clear itNo
salsita:ingredientes-v2The same thing, in the Spanish version of the toolUntil you clear itNo

This is the only information this site stores on its own in your browser. It exists so you do not have to re-select your ingredients on every visit.

It never leaves your device. We do not receive it, we do not share it, and it is not used to profile you.

You can clear it at any time with the “Clear” button inside the ingredient search, or by clearing site data in your browser settings.

Third-party cookies: Google advertising

This site shows ads served by Google AdSense. Google and its partner vendors set cookies in order to:

  • Serve ads and measure their performance.
  • Limit how many times you see the same ad.
  • Personalize ads based on your browsing on this and other sites, where you allow it.
  • Detect fraud and invalid clicks.

These cookies belong to Google domains (googlesyndication.com, doubleclick.net, google.com) and we have no access to or control over them.

You can manage them at:

What this site does not use

No analytics cookies. There is no Google Analytics on this site, and no equivalent.

No social network cookies. There are no embedded like buttons, feeds or share widgets that set cookies.

No first-party tracking cookies. Salsita MX sets no cookie of its own for any purpose.

Turning cookies off in your browser

Every browser lets you block or delete cookies. The relevant settings:

  • Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Third-party cookies
  • Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
  • Safari: Settings → Privacy → Block all cookies
  • Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions

Blocking third-party cookies does not stop ads from appearing. It stops them from being personalized, which usually means they become less relevant rather than fewer.

Blocking localStorage or clearing site data will make the ingredient search forget your selections. Nothing else on the site depends on it.
